A medical certificate is required to participate in the Tuscany Road. Without it, even if you have correctly completed the registration procedure, you will not be able to participate.
Although the medical certificate of fitness for competitive sports is strongly recommended, the certificate of “good health” issued by your family doctor is enough. Obviously, the medical certificate must be valid for the period of the Tuscany Road.
ARE THERE ANY PRE-ARRANGED STOPS? WHERE DO I SLEEP AND WHERE DO I EAT?
The Tuscany Road is defined as a “one-stop” event in the sense that there are no fixed stops but each participant can freely decide where to stop, to eat and to sleep along the way. Our advice is to study the route before leaving in order to get an idea of the possible stops that you will make.
HOW DO I FIND FACILITIES ALONG THE WAY TO EAT AND SLEEP? DO YOU HAVE ANY AGREEMENTS WITH SOME FACILITIES?
We have no agreements along the way. The best way to find a place at the best price is to take advantage of the technology and, in particular, use Booking.com and Google Maps. The offers that you will find on these two websites are the best in absolute and we would not be able to get these offers even with a possible agreement.
Google Maps allows you to understand where an accommodation facility is and how many kilometers separate you from it while booking.com allows you to book online.
IS THERE A LUGGAGE TRANSPORT SERVICE FROM DEPARTURE TO ARRIVAL?
The Tuscany Road organization does not offer this type of service to participants. However, every year we strive to find an external company that offers the luggage transport service for a fee. The organization of the Tuscany Road is not responsible for this service.
REAL-TIME TRACKING – NEVERALONE
Thanks to the NeverAlone+ application, you will be tracked in real time and your position during the event will be visible on a map together with the position of all the other participants in the Tuscany Road.
The application is mandatory and free of charge.
Remember to enter the same email you provided when you registered on Tuscany Road in the application (if you do not remember it, look for the email confirming your registration).
The application must always remain on during the Tuscany Road while cycling. If you have a SPOT, you can pair it with the application to avoid using it on your mobile phone.
WHAT HAPPENS ON ARRIVAL
On arrival, you will find a sheet you have to sign certifying your completion of the Tuscany Road. Don’t expect a pasta party because you won’t find it. You can use the accommodation facility to eat and sleep during opening hours. The gym will always be open with bathrooms, showers and a place where you can sleep using your sleeping bag.
ONCE I HAVE COMPLETED THE TUSCANY Road, HOW DO I GO BACK HOME?
The end of the Tuscany Road is 500 m away from the Capalbio Scalo railway station. You can take the regional trains going there by bike to return to Massa or anywhere else. This is the most practical and cheapest way you can use.
REGISTRATIONS ARE ALREADY CLOSED. IS THERE THE POSSIBILITY OF REGISTERING THE SAME?
There is no possibility to register in the Tuscany Road beyond the official registration date.
I AM REGULARLY REGISTERED BUT I CANNOT PARTICIPATE, IS THERE A REFUND?
As per our regulations that you must read before registering, there is no refund/ partial refund/transfer of registration to the following year.
I DON’T RECEIVE THE EMAIL, HOW CAN I DO?
To avoid that the communications sent by email end up in the SPAM folder you must save the address firstname.lastname@example.org in your email box.
